Recently I retrieved the rights to one of my suspense books, A Ton of Gold. The process was amicable and according to the terms of the contract I signed. I have since reissued the paperback edition with a new cover and new front and back matter. I have also released it as a digital book. It is getting some renewed interest.
Have you ever retrieved the rights from a publisher? Was it simple and clean? What have you done with the book since? Perhaps we can share experiences we have had in this type of situation.
Also, I'd like your opinion on my cover change. Did I make it a more appealing cover or not? What do you think? The lake is significant in the book. But, of course, so is the gold.
