Why do you read mystery/suspense novels?

I read mystery/suspense novels because, ever since I was a little girl, mysteries have intrigued me. They added spice to life and encouraged my imagination to run wild. I was hooked on Judy Bolton and Nancy Drew mysteries and, as an adult, I fell in love with the books by Mary Higgins Clark. Her first suspense novel, "Where are the Children?" is my favorite of all time.

It's exciting, wondering what will happen next, trying to figure out who committed the crime (especially murder) and all the while hoping that the main character will live to "tell the tale." Quite simply, I love a mystery!
