Deanie's most recent book, My Life at Sweetbrier, is her personal story of starting her life as a disabled child and becoming an equestrian champion. She credits her family for always supporting her, especially her dad, who never accepted the doctor's diagnosis that his little girl would never walk. Deanie and her dad set out to prove the doctor wrong. Their journey inspires others to reach for their dreams the way Deanie did. This book won several awards, including the Mom's Choice award and first place in the Top Shelf Holiday Book Contest.

Deanie is the author of 5 children's books: award-winning Tails of Sweetbrier,(no longer in print) My Life at Sweetbrier-A Life Changed by Horses, Charlie the Horse, Charlene the Star, Charlene the Star and Hattie's Heroes and Charlene the Star and Bentley Bulldog. All of her fictional books are beautifully illustrated by her sister, Holly Humphrys-Bajaj and convey positive messages for children. Deanie has been featured on several radio shows and won numerous awards, including the Mom's Choice Gold Medal for My Life at Sweetbrier-A Life Changed by Horses.
