Short Description of Your Novel
Shattered Lies is a women's fiction/family saga. A story set in the deep south where old values clash with modern values; where secrets that surface can destroy the very soul of everyone involved. drag Kate Thayer has a good life as a veterinarian running the family horse farm until she uncovers an act of unimaginable treachery by those she trusted most and discovers that everything she knew about herself was a lie. Her paternal grandmother, the woman that raised her is behind a series of escalating secrets she is compelled to uncover and the more she questions the more she learns.
Please give a short Author's Bio (please limit to 250 words)
I'm a freelance writer with over three hundred publication credits; fiction and non-fiction; short stories and articles, a University Lecturer with Doctorates in English literature, Mass Communications and Law. I have written for many publications, as well as regularly contributing to the local newspaper. My background encompasses working as a television producer, director, and writer for network, PBS, and community television. A frequent traveler, I've resided in thirteen states and three countries. A confirmed bibliophile, when I'm not writing I can be found reading a good book, or spending time in the outdoors. My new home of Mississippi plays a major part in my novel, Shattered Lies. My hometown of New York City is where the latter portion of the novel occurs. I have a great respect and fondness for both places, and consider the world around me to be a notebook full of endless ideas.
